It provides support to some of the most vulnerable older people in our society. Dealing with over 2,700 individual enquiries in 2007 – 2008 alone, the advice team helped older people: • Access benefits to which they were entitled, securing £150,000 in additional benefits • Gain access to community based care packages enabling older people to remain within    their own home • Access emotional support when they were in severe distress Advice Line is a free service and can be contacted in person, by telephone, post or via email.
